OH NO NEVER AGAIN!!!! The first time I shaved my head (July 12th) my husband did it for me with the clippers. I kept telling him closer, closer get as clean as you can he did a really good job. When he was finished he step away from me with a smile on his face I thought he was laughing, immediately panic set in I said "what do I have a funny shaped head" he laughed then and said "nooooo baby, I just like it I think it looks cute" any who, with all that said the very next day you could see growth I told myself I was going to do it myself next time because I cant have him shaving my head every other day. Well the time came and I thought i'd go to CVS get some nair that should be easy well it didn't work quite like I thought it would the hair came out in patches (that did not look to good) i'm thinking I did not leave it on long enough ok try some thing else I decided to use a razor because I was still determined to learn how tho do this myself none the less I lather my head with my husbands shaving cream and proceeded to shave, besides the one nick it came out great .........but LORD please have mercy on my soul I did not know it was going to itch so bad I'm bout to loose mind this is worse than the time i gave myself a bikini wax.......

LOL! I also have alopecia and live my life bald. My husband loves to shave my head for me, actually he recently wrote a post on Alopecia World in which he was a little disappointed when one day I went and did it myself. But I do understand and know the feeling that sometimes you just want to get it done and not have to wait or depend on someone else to do it for you.
